This is the week! This Friday night I am bringing a plethora of St. Louis comedy talent to the stage of my favorite cigar store in all of the St. Louis Metro area. You’ll see the host of Impolite Radio Chris Cyr, co-host of Comedians w/Day Jobs Larry Smith, Kathy Zeman, Doug Morris, Will O’Donnell with Special Guest the Host of the Gateway Comedy Scene Podcast Vincent Opper! Kind of a stars of local radio night, huh?

My First Comedy Festival!

Untitled

So much happening! I am very excited to announce that I have been accepted into my first comedy festival! It is the Paul Bunyan Comedy Festival on lakeside Oscoda, Michigan. And, it is back near where I grew up in Northern Michigan. Not only well this event help spread the funny, it will help raise money for something decidedly unfunny, the Alzheimer’s Association.

The festival is April 5-7, I will be on sometime on the 6th or 7th. Showtimes to be announced this weekend.

Emceeing for Dwayne Clark THIS WEEKEND

resizelogo

Hello Friends…I want to let everyone know where I’ll be this weekend. I will be emceeing the Saturday shows at Hey Guys Comedy Club in Fairview Heights, IL for Headliner Dwayne Clark. His official bio:

Okay – figure this one out – he’s a guitar player with no song parodies, sing-a-longs, or Dylan impressions. Clean Corporate Comedian Dwayne Clark is high-energy without playing “What’s your name – where are you from” with his audience.

His material is intelligent, adult and yet inoffensive. He delivers his act with southern charm that doesn’t play to the stereotypes of the dumb southerner. It’s like Minnie Pearl and Tony Bennett had a baby (pardon the visual).

With his infectious smile, and his undeniable charm, Corporate Comedian Dwayne Clark steps onstage and delivers a show that every audience member will appreciate and leave with an uncontrollable craving for corn bread and caviar.

So come check us out and say hi! Tickets are $5 cheaper online than at the door so buy online today! Remember, I am only on the Saturday shows.

Gaslight Comedy Contest Oct 1st

gaslight

Hey folks! I’m in the Gaslight Theater Comedy Contest on Sunday, October 1st! Only $10 to get in! A great time, and a great way to support Tom Brown.

Also, the old Gaslight District has an amazing story in the history of Comedy. It’s where the St. Louis version of the Compass Players (which would go onto become Chicago’s Second City) took the stage in late 50’s. There they created the basic rules of what makes improvisation comedy work. The players include the team of Nichols and May and the ever infamous Del Close.

St. Louis’ Funniest Person? Tom Brown?

ALL_Funniest2017_BuyTickets_PrelimCarousel_052617 (1).jpg

Hey folks! Less than two weeks away from competing in St. Louis’ Funniest Person Contest at Helium. I’m super-duper excited, but also nervous. I’m out of free comps, so much thanks to everyone coming to support me that night. But, hey I’m sure you’re still like, “Well, I would like to go and support you Tom. But, how do I do that? I will pay money if I have to!” Awesome! Tickets are only $10! But, if you act NOW, I can set it up where you only pay $5 to get in. Just e-mail me at thobrown@gmail.com for the details and I will HOOK. YOU. UP.

Oh, and did I mention that the first round of this competition, the decision on who advances is up to you? Every audience member (who shows up ON TIME) gets a ballot to determine our comedy futures. How neat is that? Please like me.

Until then here’s a link to a video of an older set that has NONE of the jokes I plan on doing June 30th at 7:00pm at Helium in the Galleria Mall in St. Louis.
